What makes KidsCare of Pennridge a better choice than other child care providers in the area?

Convenience and Dependability – We operate at your child’s school. We are open whenever school is in session. Unlike a private babysitter, we run a multi-staff operation. If a babysitter is not available, it requires extra effort, but with KidsCare of Pennridge, there are always two or more reliable individuals to take care of your children.
Many of our employees have been with the program for several years.
We are fully licensed by the State of Pennsylvania, and we are insured.
We are STARS-certified.

High-Quality Service and Pre-Planned Activities – We take pride in offering high-quality services and developmental activities for your children before or after the school day. Our activities and curriculum are pre-planned with detail and care (including the use of changing monthly themes). All of our instructors are certified teachers who run our program with established goals, augmented by their creativity. Examples include giving children the opportunity to participate in making holiday decorations for the needy, various community service projects, and fundraising for endangered animals in the USA and other parts of the world. Help with homework, dedicated time in the playground or gymnasium, and creative playtime are also featured.

KidsCare of Pennridge accepts new students anytime during the school year. Parents may register online or download registration forms and submit the completed forms directly to its office in advance. Children cannot just walk in per the regulations issued by the State of Pennsylvania to ensure that the health and welfare of all children are maintained.

What ages participate in our programs?

KidsCare: Grades K-5

Electronic devices?

Electronic devices and electronic communications (cell phones, camera phones, iPod, Nintendo DS, texting, FaceTime sessions, etc.) are not permitted during any KidsCare program. KidsCare of Pennridge is not responsible for any lost/damaged/stolen devices brought to the program.

How do I pay?

You may send a check directly to the KidsCare of Pennridge office each month or use our more convenient credit card automatic payment program. You may also call each month to provide credit card authorization. The staff at the schools is not allowed to accept payment. We will send you a monthly bill before the first of the month, and advanced payment is appreciated and expected.

Is KidsCare of Pennridge a licensed child care provider?

Yes, KidsCare of Pennridge is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services. We follow all state guidelines for school-aged child care, including background checks (PA criminal history, child abuse, FBI clearance, etc.), for all of our employees and meet or exceed all child-to-adult ratios.

Is KidsCare of Pennridge paid for by taxes?

KidsCare of Pennridge is a private company contracted by the school district. It rents space from the school district. Parents pay the company for the services provided.

Enrollment

How do I change my child’s enrollment? How much notice is needed?

For enrollment add-ons, please call the KidsCare of Pennridge office, preferably at least two days in advance.
For enrollment deletions, advanced notice is needed in writing prior to the 10th of the month preceding the month in which the change will become effective; otherwise, all billed charges are payable in full. There may be a small service fee for enrollment change.

Withdrawal/Cancellation of Service

A written notice must be sent directly to the KidsCare Of Pennridge office. A phone call without a letter will not be sufficient.
Cancellations cannot be made mid-month.
The notification must be received before the enrollment change deadline, which is the 10th of the month preceding the month in which the change will become effective; otherwise, all billed charges are payable in full.

Day-Off Program

Advanced registration is required. You may add a Day-Off Program date by calling the KidsCare Of Pennridge office. It is best to call at least two weeks in advance.
Walk-ins are not permitted.

Billing

What is your billing cycle? How does it work?

We bill in the preceding month service.
Due Dates – Bills during the school year are typically due on the 1st of the month. (Example: February’s tuition payment is due on February 1.)
Late fees are applied on the 5th of the month. (Example: February’s tuition will have late fees assessed on February 5.)

My child is out sick or is going on vacation. Do I get a credit/refund?

KidsCare of Pennridge bills on scheduled attendance and the number of school days, not by the number of days your child actually attends. Our costs and tuition are divided equally among the ten school months and invoiced in that manner.
Note: If your child will be absent from the KidsCare PM program on a given day, please notify your school’s KidsCare of Pennridge staff so they are aware of his/her planned absence.

I have not paid my KidsCare of Pennridge bill. What happens next?

If you haven’t paid your bill by the due date, KidsCare of Pennridge reserves the right to suspend service until the outstanding balance is paid. However, we do understand that in some cases there may be a delay of a few days.
